A big thank you to all who came to support me at the Grassington Festival on 24th June - it was great to see familiar faces among the people there. The Festival organisers were very pleased with the event (I think there was only one empty seat!).

A date for your diary: On the evening of Thursday 1 October The Word Birds poets' collective will be hosting a poetry reading in Settle's Victoria Hall. This is being held to celebrate National Poetry Day. I have been invited as the special guest and other Settle poets will be reading. There will be an 'open mic' slot in which local writers can participate and there will be wine, and a book stall, etc. Hope to see you there.

I look forward to some great poetry and great discussions.

Jean (Stevens)
